In continuing proof that Hollywood prefers ‘toons to live Actors, Warner Bros. are now taking Anna Faris, Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake for a picnic at Jellystone Park, as part of their plans for a live-action / CGI version of the great Yogi Bear.
Perhaps best known for her role in 2005’s ‘Brokeback Mountain,’ Variety reports that Anna, 33, is due to play a documentary filmmaker, while ‘Ghostbusters’ star Dan Aykroyd will voice Yogi and Justin Timberlake is in talks to star as the voice of his best-buddy, Boo-Boo.
First appearing on the nation’s TV screens in 1958, Yogi’s jovial nature is said to have been inspired by legendary TV comic, Art Carney’s performance on the CBS classic sit-com, ‘The Honeymooners,’ which debuted three years before.
